Mission Possible

Aerialists flew through the air, swinging from rich, red draping fabric. SeattleAcroYogis contorted their bodies in Gumby-like ways — balancing on top of one another via hands and toes, while music that demanded serious dancing bumped in the background. At 700 guests strong, our Green Festival after-party, co-hosted with Bainbridge Graduate Institute (BGI) was a screaming success. Looking back, I really don’t know how it could have been any better. There are too many folks to individually thank (we had more than 27 sponsors!), but I would like to take this opportunity to call out a few key businesses and individuals who helped make this happen.

Sarah Miller (BGI) you are the best party-planning partner anyone could ever wish for. Thank you for you diligence to detail, your great sense of humor and your cool factor. Stewardship Partners (Yes, I am talking to you David and Larry), it was such a pleasure to collaborate with you guys once again (since our epic Green Drinks party last year). Thank you for serving up case after case of Terra Blanca, some of the best local and Salmon Safe certified wine that the Northwest has to offer — it was delicious and effective. Sierra Nevada and Fish Tale Ale, what can I say? The party just wouldn’t have been the same without the thirst-quenching brew that you provided. Chris Hem (Sierra Nevada) and Scott Miller (Fish Tale Ale), thank you! Also, on our beverage line-up was Cha Dao Tea, thank you Robert Korht for providing the perfect, chilled non-alcoholic treat of the evening. Your tea kept many of us dancing till the wee hours of the night. I would also like to call out Miss Amy Woidtke, our design consultant.

Thank you for taking the time to branch-by-branch transform our entryway arbor into something leafy and enchanted. Thank you to Herban Weeds and BiziBee Florals for the stunning flower arrangements and potted plants. We also had amazing musical performances from DJ Jaluka, DJ Spire, DJ Divided, and EQlateral. Thank you for getting so many of us on the dance floor.

Finally, a gigantic thank you to BJ Duft, owner of Herban Feast Catering. BJ, your new on-site catering facility is simply beautiful! Your staff was a complete pleasure to work with and as usual, the food you prepared was inspired, locally fresh and exquisitely presented. Cheers to you and the many weddings and upcoming events that get to land in your new space. Finally, thank you to all of the green fest-goers and CC readers who helped us celebrate the Green Festival coming to Seattle.

A tremendous thank you and till next time,

Ritzy and the Conscious Choice team
